IN THIS SECTION
The Department of Educational Administration is part of the Department of Educational Sciences within the Necatibey Faculty of Education at Balıkesir University. It is responsible for planning and delivering educational sciences and pedagogical courses offered in the teacher training programs within our faculty. The department also contributes to the field by offering graduate programs aimed at training qualified experts.
At the undergraduate level, the primary aim of the department is to enable prospective teachers to understand the functioning of the education system from a multidimensional perspective, while enhancing their knowledge and awareness of key concepts such as effective school management, educational policies, leadership, and supervision. Through this approach, the department seeks to prepare teacher candidates to enter the profession as well-equipped individuals. Accordingly, the academic staff of the Department of Educational Administration contribute to all programs within the faculty.
At the graduate level, the department aims to train administrators and supervisors for the Ministry of National Education and other relevant institutions, provide academic staff for university departments, support the professional development of teachers, administrators, and supervisors working in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, and cultivate a specialized workforce particularly in the fields of school administration and educational supervision.
Currently, the Department of Educational Administration employs 1 professor, 1 associate professor, 1 assistant professor, and 1 lecturer with a Ph.D.
